EMILY HART
On pregnancy, podcasts and her take on 'me-time'.
BAYVIEW - SYDNEY
Marilyn Monroe once said she wears nothing but Chanel No. 5 to bed - what's your sleep uniform?
Emily: My sleep uniform is MAEVA, of course. I love the cotton pyjama sets - they have been my saviour for those hot nights when you just can't get comfortable and need your skin to breathe. My other go-to for pregnancy is the Nala jumpsuit. Not only is there no waistband to contend with, but it is just so airy and slouchy and perfect for lounging at home whilst still feeling 'dressed'.
What does your pre-bedtime ritual look like and how has it changed since being pregnant?
Emily: Before bed I shower and cover my whole body in organic hemp seed oil because it feels nourishing on the skin and encourages new cell generation which is great for preventing stretch marks. Next, I wash my face using a Foreo Luna 2 which really helps to get rid of the dirt and makeup from the day. Since becoming pregnant, I am more vigilant with the formulas and ingredients of my beauty products and have found some simple, organic alternatives which are safe for me and baby.
Podcasts you love?
Emily: Currently listening to Shamless, Deliciously Ella and Beyond The Bump. I have also loved listening to Serial - the absolute OG of podcasts.
What does "me time" mean to you?
Emily: Me time usually involves wine but now that I am pregnant, me time is a cup of tea ant Netflix.
BOOKS ON YOUR BEDSIDE TABLE?
Emily: Boy Swallows Universe by Trent Dalton. The Strangers We Know by Pip Drysdale and Save Our Sleep by Tizzie Hall.
How do you start your day right?
Emily: I always feel that I have started my day well if I have my morning smoothie which consists of banana, organic wild blueberries, spinach and any other fruits that I might have on hand at the time.Ā
What is the most serene place you have ever visited?
Emily: My husband and I recently spent our honeymoon in Tasmania. It was honestly so beautiful and serene, especially hiking down to Wineglass Bay and swimming in the crystal clear water. If you haven't been, I highly recommend it.
Emily wears our two-piece set, in comfy woven cotton with chic cabana stripes for lazy weekends, laid-back moments and balmy escapes. The Resort Stripe collection is an ode to retro parasols, pastel shades and the languid style of the French Riviera in the 1920s.Ā
